All measurements are in inches. Sun shirts, crop tops and tank tops use different size scales, so find your garment below and match your body measurements to the chart. If you are between sizes, go up. Every shirt is printed to order and a size that is wrong can be exchanged within 30 days, but a size that is right is faster. Not sure? How to measure
- Chest: put the tape on the fullest part of your chest and bring it around your back, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, back to where you started. Keep it parallel to the ground and snug but not tight.
- Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your waist, tape parallel to the ground.
- Arm length: from the top of the shoulder, over a slightly bent elbow, to the wrist bone.
- Head (hats): wrap a soft tape around your head about 1 inch above your ears and across the forehead, and note where it meets.
- Use a soft tape measure over light clothing or bare skin. If you only have a favourite shirt to hand, lay it flat and compare its chest width (armpit to armpit, doubled) with the chart.
Sun shirts: long sleeve, short sleeve and hoodies
Our UPF 50+ sun shirts have a relaxed unisex cut: room to move and to layer over a swimsuit, without being baggy. Men usually take their normal size; women who want a closer fit often size down. The chart shows body measurements.

Women’s crop tops
The long-sleeve crop tops are a fitted, athletic cut in a stretch fabric with a wide double-layer waistband, and they use their own size scale (2XS–6XL), not the sun-shirt scale above.
They run small. Most customers who order their usual size find the crop top too tight. The chart below is a compression fit; for a regular fit, order one size up from the chart (two up for a relaxed fit), or enter your measurements and let the finder choose.

Men’s tank tops
The tank tops are a relaxed fit in soft combed cotton, not a sun-protection fabric, so they are for the dock and the deck bar rather than a day on the water. They use standard S–3XL sizing.

Length is measured from the highest point of the shoulder, beside the collar, straight down to the hem. Garment measurements may vary by up to 2 inches.
Hats
All our hats are one size with an adjustable closure (snapback or strap), and fit head circumferences of roughly 20½ to 23⅝ inches. The exact range and crown height for each style is listed on its product page under “Size guide”. Measure your head as described above; if you are at the top of the range, choose a high-profile (structured) style rather than a low-profile one.
